the word kantha means 'rags' in sanskrit

and how she chooses

to assemble vintage saree & dhoti fabrics, colour & styles

adding patches and holding it all together by a simple running stitch.

in ancient india these precious fabrics were considered family heirlooms

and were passed on from generation to generation.
